John Hawks - Social network mapping


During one of our mapping sessions, we were paid a visit by John Hawks. Hearing John talk about what his work entails was truly fascinating. He does something called social network mapping with a company he founded in 2004 called Community Analytics.

Social network mapping gets insight from a community - discussing with existing networks for advice. Community Analytics helps organisations map influence networks and identify the trusted advisors who know the community. When it comes to decision-making, we turn to people we know and trust for insight. When an organization wants insight into a  community, they need to talk to these existing networks of advice that connect us all.
